Trainspotters

Trainspotters is a weekly show presented by Ian and Gwyn, a couple of geeks with vinyl habits and obsessive compulsive music disorder. Broadcast Monday 1pm, Wednesday 6pm and Friday 2pm.

Definition of 'Trainspotter' from urbandictionary.com “The act of staring over a DJ's shoulder to see what records he's spinning”

Have you ever craned your neck over the booth trying to read the label of a record going round and round on Theo Parrish's turntable and then spent the next 5 years trying to find it? This is the spirit of Trainspotters. We aim to please the anorak inside of you.

We play an eclectic mix of great black music: disco, funk, house, jazz, reggae, world and anything else we fancy! New stuff and old. We invite guests, if deemed anorak enough, onto the show to deliver choonage from their deep record bags and they are generally even bigger trainspotters than we are.
